A few words about Sturgeon: The Columbia River White Sturgeon grow to tremendous size. It is not uncommon to catch sturgeon from seven to ten feet in length which can range from 185 to 600 pounds. During seasons passed, fish exceeding 14 feet in length have been brought to the boats of lucky anglers. Fish of this length are estimated to weigh 1500 pounds or more! This is WORLD CLASS FISHING and is not for the faint of heart. Catching a 5 or 6 foot fish is very exciting. Watching a 7 to 10 foot fish leap from the water as the drag on your reel screams in protest is the memory of a life time! Be sure to bring your camera or camcorder.
